We have had a tremendous year for our youngest members. And we’re only half-way through!

We have two main programs – one for teens post-Bat and Bar Mitzvah, and one for Hebrew School-age middle schoolers, who will soon prepare for their Bar and Bat Mitzvot.

In 2025-2026 school year, we will offer formal music lessons and voice lessons for all ages, and a year-long immersion for our first through third graders to learn prayers and receive their first Siddur.

TAO TEENS

WHERE OUR FRIENDS MEET FOR FUN, CONVERSATION, ACTIVITIES, SERVICE TO OUR COMMUNITY AND LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT. BEST FOR POST BAR/BAT MITZVAH STUDENTS.

We meet regularly at “440” to engage in deep, meaningful, age-appropriate conversations about topics including “community”, “purpose”, “faith and uncertainty”, “temptation and self-control” and others. Rabbi Marc and Rebekah Dickinson. We always have food and fun.

We spend most of our time fulfilling meaningful service to the community. We make hundreds of sandwiches for the Caring Kitchen, we clean up the beach, and we sign for community holiday concerts and special national holidays. We learn Krav Maga and receive resilience training. We build our Sukkah, we volunteer at events for TAO and attend Shabbat Service.

We learn the deeper meanings of our Jewish holidays and celebrations and most of all, we become good friends who can count on each other.

Join us for another stellar year with TAO Teens.

Registration for the 2025-2026 academic year will open June 1, 2025. If you are interested in joining us for the remainder of our year until May 2025, please contact Rebekah Dickinson – rebekah@taocenter.net

TAO HEBREW SPIRITUALITY SCHOOL

Our Hebrew School prioritizes a joy of your child’s Judaism. We teach your son or daughter to read and write Hebrew, learn essential and timeless prayers, and build bond with each other.

We learn all the elements of a synagogue and contribute to the well-being of the space and gardens.

We meet at “440” and explore the weekly Parsha to learn about the Torah, both in stories and with deeper meaning in lessons and worldly concepts. We always have dinner together and connect every week to the upcoming Jewish holiday or celebration. We weave facts and ideas about Israel all year, sprinkled with an historical overview of the modern State of Israel and link it appropriately to current events.

Registration for the 2025-2026 academic year will open June 1, 2025. If you are interested in joining us for the remainder of our year until May 2025, please contact Rebekah Dickinson – rebekah@taocenter.net

NEW FOR 2025-2026! Netivim LeTefilah – Pathway to Prayer

We are thrilled to offer a new program, Netivim LeTefilah – Pathway to Prayer for our TAO children in First, Second, and Third Grades.

This is TAO’s Siddur ceremony, marking a significant milestone in a child’s Jewish education. Your son or daughter will meet with us weekly, for an hour, starting in August. In May, our students receive their first Siddur, after spending almost a year studying prayer and Hebrew reading.

This is your child’s first significant Jewish simcha that they will remember, a celebration of their learning, creating a foundation for their connection to their Jewish life and community.

Parents and siblings are encouraged to decorate the cover of the Siddur, presented to your children by Rabbi Marc during a very special family Shabbat service in May.
