The intergenerational nature of TAO’s legacy is rooted in love of Torah, of each other, of Gd, Israel and the eternal blessing of being Jewish.
Temple Adath Or was officially established in Florida in 1986. This year is a once-in-a-generation celebration as Temple Adath Or marks 40years of sacred service, community, and connection. Throughout the year, we’ll honor this milestone with 40 events, programs, and services, the release of a beautiful heirloom book chronicling our journey, a custom-made commemorative item, and a joyous Spring Gala celebration to bring it all together.

5786 – 40 Events and Programs
We began with a Welcome Back Shabbat. We shared 40 days of poems and words of inspiration from Elul through Tishrei. We welcomed everyone for our 40th Anniversary Family Shabbat and Mitzvah Project. We had dinner under the stars in our Sukkah and read our passages and sang Hakafot for Simchat Torah. We have forty prayer cards to distribute throughout the year. We planted yellow roses for Rabbi Shoni’s (zl) Yahrzeit. So much more to come.

40th Anniversary Heirloom Book
In celebration of Temple Adath Or’s 40th anniversary, we are creating a commemorative heirloom book that will preserve the stories, images, and milestones that have shaped our community. This beautifully designed volume will honor our past, celebrate our present, and inspire future generations by capturing the spirit and legacy of the Temple’s first four decades. Members, past and present, are invited to contribute reflections, photographs, and memories to be included in this meaningful keepsake. Every ticket purchase to the Gala includes a half-page tribute.
