Temple Adath Or is committed to engaging our community and strengthening the bonds of interfaith fellowship. Since we have established ourselves in Delray Beach, we have developed unbreakable bonds with more than a dozen churches and other synagogues, mosques, and local civic agencies. Click here to learn all about our work in the community, which offers amazing opportunities to participate, give of your time, help others and represent us beautifully as a member of TAO.

Rabbi Marc has been asked to invoke the Easter Sunrise Service ain 2024 and 2025 for ~ 600 celebrants in Delray who gather for this holy day at the beach at 6 AM.

We hosted a Passover Seder at Cason United Methodist Church, showcasing our shared love of the holiness of the Passover Seder. We partner with Cason to feed families and those in need, especially on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

We are co-chairs for the Delray Beach Interfaith Clergy Committee, are members of the Delray Beach Interfaith Committee, active with the Downtown Development Authority, Old School Square, and the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce. We host speakers from other faiths, as recently as November for Native American Heritage Month, at which our teens volunteered so they could also learn about the Lakota tribe.

Our TAO Teen Youth Choir represented the only synagogue during the Blessed Holiday Concert in December, 2024, in Delray, as well as at the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service in Lake Worth. Our teens made over 150 sandwiches for Caring Kitchen, distributed by our TAO Unity Volunteers over Christmas.

Rabbi Marc was asked to make remarks for a Boca Raton Unity Healing meeting at a Baptist Church following this year’s election, to ensure positive feelings and continued bridge-building and dialogue. We attended a racial equity workshop with nearly every civic and religious agency in Delray Beach and will partner with the leaders of Delray Beach’s “Set” to strengthen in love and support.

We participated in Beach Cleanup in Hollywood and co-chaired an interfaith picnic in Coral Springs with JAM & ALL interfaith group. Our teens will sing for a community Yom HaShoah event, volunteer at All People’s Day in Lake Worth, and Heal the Planet day in Fort Lauderdale.

Our TAO Volunteers work year-round to benefit the South Florida community at large.

We collect food and toiletries for the Delray Beach Caring Kitchen and Shower Truck. We help prepare food at the Caring Kitchen. We volunteer for Heal the Planet, the Lake Worth Interfaith Network, The Delray Beach Interfaith Clergy Committee, The Delray Beach Interfaith Committee, and more. We show up for beach cleanup in Hollywood and Palm Beach, we support other environmental clean-up initiatives and are active in several organizations which support Israel. We raise funds to support hospitals in Israel and anytime there is a natural disaster in the US.
